Arun District Council commissioned an options appraisal and feasibility study for the redevelopment of the Alexandra Theatre in Bognor Regis. Burrell Foley Fischer worked together with arts business consultants to consider the potential for the theatre.

It was demonstrated that the priority is for improved facilities for theatregoers which will encourage existing patrons to visit on a more regular basis and to increase their spend when attending.

To improve footfall and enhance the urban seafront context of the venue, it was proposed to link an existing arcade from the High Street through to the seafront, providing a covered route for visitors to Bognor during inclement weather while providing a valuable source of rental income to support the venue through the letting of commercial outlets.
