As part of Burrell Foley Fischer's comprehensive review of vacant, problematic and underused land on nine of London Borough of Islington's estates, BFF has obtained consent for a number of 'first phase' sites. This includes two new affordable family dwellings designed to be fully compliant with Lifetime Homes, Code 3 under the Code for Sustainable Homes and for assessment under the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA), Housing Quality Indicators (HQIs) and the Building for Life scheme criteria. They are also Secured by Design. The process, including resident consultation, full ecological, landscape, biodiversity, and geotechnical assessments, is carried out over a sixteen-week period from appointment by the client, Homes for Islington, until receiving planning approval.
